3DA-T installation preparation start!

I ride the new Sienta HYBRID G White Pearl.

The cruise control of pivot is attached to the new Sienta.

Toyota's genuine cruise control switch compatible product came out! So first of all, I will try to install a Toyota genuine cruise control switch.

First of all, it is a Toyota genuine cruise control switch to install, but when I looked at amazon, there was a cheap.

It's about 1,300 yen. I wonder, this price difference with genuine parts.
I think that it is good to buy a genuine product, but it seems to take time when I ask the dealer, and it seems to take time to buy genuine goods on the net, It won't be too cheap.

So maybe it doesn't work?! There may be times when It's cheap, and I'll try it here.


This is what actually arrived. I've never seen a genuine product, but this is the same as the genuine product?! It looks like a quality.

However, only those in the photo are sent. There is no bolt for installation.

However, the connector seems to be a chan, and there is no problem at all with this?!

It was good to make a cheap cruise control switch, but it did not have mounting screws.

You can buy genuine screws, but it is also troublesome to buy genuine.
I don't know the size of the screw swells or the pitch, but I went to the home center to see how big it is.

I think that the shape of the screw is good in "Nabe small screw", so when I look for it, the pitch of the screw is not particularly divided in kind, The size of the screw, M4, M5, M6 was thought to be close feeling, So I bought each.
It was 300 yen because it was 100 yen for 10 bottles.

When I checked it at the time of actual installation, the screw of M5 was perfect! I'm going to try to find it.

Installing the Cruise Control Switch

I think that the installation of the cruise control switch is ready, so I will install it immediately.

To install the cruise control switch, it seems that it is necessary to remove the airbag part of the handle
. It is a part that I do not want to touch too much somehow, but for the cruise control switch installation, there is no choice .

Maintenance DVD for Sienta Hybrid There is an explanation of how to remove the airbag part firmly, so I checked it there many times before working.


On the right side of the handle, there is a cover that can be removed with a peel lever, so remove it.

There is a thing like a notch that fastens the airbag, etc., so I remove it with a flat screwdriver.

There are three parts to remove the notch: right, left, and bottom.
The right side is now accessible visually as shown in the photo, On the left and the lower side, where there is a hole of about 5mm, a flat-blade screwdriver is thrust, and the notch is removed by the touch.

I'm checking on the DVD, so I know where the notch is, but it still didn't come off easily.
For about 20 minutes, I struggled just to remove this notch and managed to remove it.

When the notch comes off, the part of the airbag can be removed like this.

I finally got it.

The red circle is where the connector of the cruise control switch is inserted. Only the connector is firm, so it is helpful.

Try inserting the connector on the cruise control switch into the open connector.

It was firmly attached!

The next is the installation of the cruise control switch. On the right side, there is a solid place where you can install the cruise control switch.
It is the part of the red circle of the photograph.

I'm afraid to put the cruise control switch.

I entered the cruise control switch mounting place firmly! The fitting seems to be perfect, too.

There is no deviation of the position at all. What is the difference between this cruise control switch and the genuine?

And, I try to fasten it with the M5 screw which I bought at the home center.
Stay firm!

The genuine screw is also equipped with a spring washer, but it seems to be difficult to come off, the screw that I bought for 100 yen, Because there was only a washer, I will keep it normal for the time being.

Well, I think that it will not loosen so much if you tighten it firmly, If it loosens, I will attach a spring washer next.

It is the full range of the cruise control lever attached. I'm a little impressed.
I tried to operate, but of course there is no grazing, it seems to be able to operate firmly.

Finally, the airbag part is installed back to the end.
Make sure the notch is back to its original position when you remove it. If you push the airbag parts in, it will stick. I don't need screws

Somehow, the cruise control lever was able to be firmly installed.
After that, if pivot's 3DA-T does the expected movement
...
Next, actually, install the 3DA-T! Because it is not clearly stated that it is compatible with the new type of sienta, there is some anxiety.
